Església / Castell de Creixell
I have to admit I’m a bit of a history geek, so you can imagine my face when I saw these photos. It’s a castle! One of the coolest things I’ve ever seen—just imagine everything these walls have witnessed… A hidden gem in the Tarragonès region.
This castle is situated on a 1,864 m² plot and has a built area of 1,167 m². It is a 16th-century medieval castle (some parts are form 11th century), originally built in the year 1600. The property features a spacious living room, open-plan kitchen, dining area next to the kitchen, pantry, eight bedrooms (three of which can accommodate four people), a master bedroom, three full bathrooms (one located in the private interior courtyard), a guest toilet, a private interior courtyard, a library with a fireplace, horse stables, a chapel, a dungeon, a wine cellar, and an annex building. In addition, it offers a courtyard currently used as a garage for six cars, an olive oil mill, a cistern, attic space with access to the battlements, sea views, views of the old watchtowers, and a fireplace. It's the only castle in Spanish territory with a quadrangular layout, built on a dry-stone slope.
